INFLUENCES
I learned to play golf at an often overlooked Stanley Thompson treasure in Sault Ste. Marie. The course exemplified Stanley’s ability to utilize a site to its fullest potential through creative course routing and the effective use of strategic bunkering. Both of these elements have greatly influenced my design approach and style.
FAVOURITE GOLF HOLE
I’ve played too many good golf holes to have a single favorite. I always enjoy the short par-4 that offers a true risk and reward challenge. I think the length of a golf hole is sometimes overrated.
