The Ontario Home Builders' Association honoured its best at its annual awards gala in September 2009 with the PROJECT OF THE YEAR - LOW RISE awarded to Brookfield Homes, for the Village, Niagara-on-the-Lake (credit to: The MBTW Group and Watchorn Architect Inc.) During a tour before the awards ceremony with Minister of Housing, Jim Watson and about 60 OHBA delegates, Watson said he had never seen a place like The Village and wondered why there weren't other projects like it.
